Job Title: Goods Inwards Operator

Salary: £32,700

Location:  Stockton-on-Tees, Cleveland

Contract: Maternity Cover

As a Goods Inwards Operator, you play a crucial role in the supply chain, ensuring that all incoming goods are received, checked, and stored accurately and efficiently.

What you will do:

As a Goods Inwards Operator, your accountable for, but not limited to:

  • Receiving Goods: Accurately receive and log all incoming shipments, ensuring that delivery documentation matches the actual goods received.

  • Inspection: Inspect goods for quality and quantity, reporting discrepancies or damages in the correct manner according to the standard work.

  • Data Entry: Enter received goods into inventory management systems to maintain accurate stock levels.

  • Storage Management: Organize and store goods in designated areas, ensuring easy access and compliance with safety regulations.

  • Inventory Control: Ensure consumables stock is always correct to maintain the MIN/MAX ordering system.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as purchasing and logistics, to resolve any issues related to incoming goods and invoice grief.

What You Can Demonstrate:

  • Fork Lift Truck License

  • The ability to read, write, comprehend and follow verbal instructions

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations to perform the duties described above.

  • Ability to understand standard works and follow direction. Job is performed in accordance with procedures and instructions.

  • Proficient with the computers

  • Ability to problem solve and find solutions independently.

  • Able to work as a team and also communicate effectively with Management.
