We're looking for a Site Manager to join us at Runnymede, Ole Windsor to take care of the daily operations here.

Salary: £27,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours/ Working pattern: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. You would be required to support occasional weekend working as part of a rota within the team, this will be felxible and on operational demand (likely to be one weekend every 4-5 weeks in a cycle).

Potential start date : ASAP

What it's like to work here:You'll work in collaboration with the property team to deliver our new strategy for meaningful long-term community engagement and involvement, post a National Lottery Heritage funded project.

This role will be based at Runnymede (National Trust property where the Operations Team are based), the post-holder will be required to work flexibly in order to develop relationships with communities, volunteers and stakeholders that are required for Runnymede's long-term success. You will be working as part of a portfolio, so occasional travel to another local National Trust property may be required.

What you'll be doing:Day to day, you'll be responsible for planning and running the on-site operations here. You'll work closely with the General Manager and others in the operations team. You'll be managing the Facilities the Community Ranger, and together you'll organise and run internal and external meetings. In these meetings, you'll be welcoming a broad range of external partners and associates on behalf of the Trust.

You'll be responsible for managing contractors, as their chief contact on site, and for compliance, organising access and making sure our work systems are always safe.

  • Experience working in settings such as historic properties, visitor attractions, or similar environments.

  • Previous experience in supervising, coaching, or training staff and/or volunteers.

  • Proven ability to manage operational and project budgets, including income generation and cost control.

  • Understanding of compliance requirements and experience in assessing and managing risks, including Health & Safety.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups including staff, volunteers, visitors, and stakeholders.
