Deputy Practice Business Manager

Job purpose
• To deputise for the Practice Business Manager in their absence or by delegation as agreed. To include- Performance Management, Financial Performance, Information Governance, HR and staff management, Complaints and Significant Events, CQC Compliance, Business Continuity
• Direct responsibility for management of areas as agreed such as Finance, IT, Operations and Rotas.
• To be responsible for the management, supervision, training and developing of a team of non-clinical staff. Principal Responsibilities
• Reporting to Practice Business Manager
• With the Practice Business Manager, and as a part of the management team, implement and maintain systems which ensure appropriate staffing and skill mix
• Oversee the running of day to day functions of the Practice
• To initiate operational service changes in response to emerging issues
• To be involved with daily duties so as to maintain an understanding of problems and issues on the ground
• To operate as a member of the management team with shared responsibility for the Practice in the absence of or alongside the Practice Business Manager
• Involved with recruitment of staff, assist with training and carrying out a development review after their probationary period
• Management and development of assigned team to include inductions, training & mentorship and supervision of all members of the team and others as appropriate
• To monitor performance on a regular basis and take any action that may be required to ensure that the required standards are met.
- To assist with developing and implementing new procedures and changes to working practices. Disseminate and ensure that staff are following Practice policies and procedures
