About The Role
he Bidding Manager will support Macro's solutions and bid team in achieving significant growth targets. They will manage global bids, including PQQs, RFIs, and RFPs, overseeing the bid lifecycle from project management to submission.

Responsibilities will include writing compelling content aligned with Macro's brand, values, and processes, and supporting mobilisation after contract award using defined bid management procedures.

This role translates win strategies and client objectives into smart, customer-focused documents and presentations, escalating risks as needed. It is a hybrid position involving up to two days per week in Macro's London office, occasional customer site visits, and potential international travel, accommodating global time zones.

Main Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and produce tender submissions for Macro opportunities, including PQQs, RFIs, and RFPs.
  • Oversee proposal development in collaboration with the solutions manager who owns the opportunity. For smaller bids, the Bidding Manager may manage the entire process.
  • Develop win strategies, bid plans, and resource schedules with solutions leads, SMEs, and operational teams.
  • Coordinate input from subject matter experts, commercial, legal, operational, and senior leadership to ensure alignment and quality.
  • Ensure bids comply with governance processes and client requirements, including risk assessments and commercial reviews.
  • Initiate proposals with a bid plan developed alongside the Opportunity Solutions Lead.
  • Track and report bid progress against milestones.
  • Analyse tender documents to identify client drivers and objectives.
  • Provide templates to support win strategies.
  • Manage resources, including desktop publishing, to support bid production.
  • Coach contributors and conduct content quality reviews.
  • Submit bids and manage the process effectively.
  • Develop storyboards to clarify questions, scoring mechanisms, and strategy.
  • Write standard content, CVs, and project profiles, filling gaps by gathering information from the business.
  • Edit responses to ensure persuasive, benefit-driven copy.
  • Capture new content in the Bid Content Library and implement continuous improvement.
  • Share lessons learned and best practices.
  • Create bid documents, such as case studies and CVs, aligned with the brand asset library.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A very high standard of written and spoken English, with strong skills in editing copy for correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and the ability to craft compelling responses.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • A clear understanding of strategic proposal management processes, including qualification, pre-proposal planning, strategy development, and storyboarding.

Qualifications Required

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant subject.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office programs (essential).
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (In Design) to at least an intermediate level (desirable).
  • Experience specifically focused on bidding.

Desirable Qualifications

  • A strong understanding of the Facilities Management (FM) industry.
  • Knowledge of FM, engineering, or built environment.
  • Experience in Facilities Management bidding.
  • Experience in the International FM market.
  • Working knowledge of Bidding AI tools.
