Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Panel Wirer to join our assembly team in Welwyn Garden City. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about precision, quality, and safety-critical work. You will be responsible for wiring and assembling control and distribution panels, and you will also have the ability to terminate cable assemblies where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Wire and assemble safety-critical panels to schematic diagrams with precision and attention to detail.
• Install, test, and build electrical control and distribution units.
• Work from engineering drawings and schematics to deliver high-quality panels.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools safely and effectively.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and maintain strict adherence to quality standards.
• Raise technical queries and liaise with management to uphold procedures and policies.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations.

Competencies & Skills

• Minimum 5 years' experience wiring safety-critical panels.
• Proven ability to produce neat, accurate, and high-quality work.
• Experience with cable assemblies, harnesses, and looms.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed electrical schematics.
• Skilled in the use of hand and pneumatic tools.
• Experience in Aerospace, Telecoms, Defence, or similar industries is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with installing large electrical control cabinets.

Requirements

• Previous experience in electrical panel wiring and assembly is essential.
• Electrical HNC, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
