Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including materials handling, quality control, and efficient packing techniques. A background in warehouse management systems and experience with shipping and receiving will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Follow Food safety procedures at all times, keeping to company standards of hygiene.
• Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to company standards.
• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper loading and unloading of goods.
• Maintain an organised workspace by stocking shelves and ensuring inventory is correctly labelled.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure all items meet company specifications before dispatch.
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during the process.
• Utilise the warehouse management system to track inventory levels and update records accordingly.
• Collaborate with team members to improve packing processes and enhance overall efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, particularly in picking and packing roles.
• Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety practices is essential.
• Excellent attention to detail for quality control purposes.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and processing orders.
• capable of standing for long periods within a chilled environment.
