The Opportunity:

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality science education that inspires curiosity and promotes academic achievement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging science lessons that align with curriculum requirements and student needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, develop innovative teaching strategies, and support departmental goals.
  • Monitor and track student progress using assessment data to inform teaching and learning.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, including INSET days and ongoing training.
  • Support the school's commitment to student well-being and positive learning culture.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to promote student success and school values.
  • Contribute to the development of science curriculum and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in science teaching at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student well-being and inclusive education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and curriculum development.
  • Familiarity with assessment and feedback strategies.
  • Experience with supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Knowledge of science education and current pedagogical trends.
  • Experience with flexible working or remote teaching.
