Furniture Packer

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are packed efficiently, accurately, and safely for shipment. This position requires a strong focus on quality control and the ability to handle materials effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Pack products according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting as required.
• Assist in picking and packing orders for shipment.
• Load and unload goods from lorries and ensure proper storage in the warehouse.
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
• Conduct quality control checks on packed items to ensure they meet company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Operate forklifts safely when required, following all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge is preferred to assist with equipment handling.
• Experience in materials handling, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems will be beneficial.
• Previous experience operating forklifts is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
