Job Title: Lecturer in Maths

Are you passionate about the power of language? Do you thrive on inspiring others to reach their full potential? Colchester Institute is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Lecturer to join our vibrant and supportive team

About the Role:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences in English
  • Supporting students to make outstanding progress toward their qualifications
  • Contributing to college-wide quality assurance processes
  • Inspiring learners and helping them unlock their full potential

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education to level 3 or above and/or a professional qualification in relevant subject area or equivalent
  • Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent
  • Relevant Teacher training / completing within 3 years of employment or 3 years of the first available course.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of teaching English to Level 2.
  • Experience of working with a wide range of learners at different levels.
  • An understanding of the educational issues relating to the development of mathematics.
