Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and child development. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team of childcare professionals, ensure high standards of care, and create a nurturing environment for children. Applicants must have relevant nursery experience and excellent communication skills in English.

Duties

  • Manage the overall running of the nursery, including staff supervision, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Lead and motivate a team of childcare practitioners to deliver high-quality care and educational programmes
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding regulations
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and wellbeing
  • Organise staff training sessions to support professional development
  • Oversee administrative tasks such as record keeping, budgeting, and reporting
  • Drive the nursery's ethos of inclusivity, safety, and educational excellence

Qualifications

  • Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire a team
  • Extensive experience working with children in early childhood environments
  • Knowledge of childcare regulations, safeguarding policies, and early childhood education principles
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Childcare or nursery qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., Level 3 Childcare qualification or higher)
  • Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or supplies as required
