Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Newbuild Housing Plumber or plumber team - working foreman and plumbers mate or just 2 plumbers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across various construction and maintenance projects. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing systems, welding techniques, and mechanical knowledge to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all piping infrastructure. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hands-on work and technical expertise in plumbing and pipefitting.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain piping systems in accordance with project specifications and schematics
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide installation and repairs
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques including welding to join pipes securely
  • Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and welding apparatus safely and effectively
  • Conduct routine maintenance on piping systems to prevent leaks or failures
  • Assemble pipework using mechanical knowledge and appropriate fastening methods
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
  • Troubleshoot issues within piping systems promptly to minimise downtime
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed for project records

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Plumber or Pipefitter with knowledge of construction environments
  • Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, soldering, and welding techniques
  • Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and maintenance procedures
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely
  • Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installation or repairs
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in plumbing or welding are preferred but not essential
