Salary: £13.60 per hour + Overtime
Working Hours: Shift pattern 4 on 4 off, 6am till 6pm
Contract Type: Perm, Full Time (42 hours per week)

About the role
Role Overview
The primary role of the Cleaning Team Leader is to ensure the site facility and workplace is maintained to the required standards and client specification, responsible for the performance and quality of the delivery of this service.
Responsible for taking control of all aspects of the cleaning delivery ensuring that cleaning schedules are adhered to, first line management of cleaning operatives to ensure the required rota is obeyed. Stock & equipment management ensuring that all systems and processes are followed, and we have suitable levels of stock at all times.
Working alongside the cleaning supervisor be responsible for achieving contract KPI's and adherence to all safe systems of work and EHS policies and procedures.
What you'll do:
- Keep training records up to date and deliver Toolbox Talks
- Manage COSHH materials and ensure risk assessments are followed.
- Audit PPE usage and ensure staff are equipped and protected.
- Uphold governance and compliance with all regulations and EMCOR policies.
- Inspire and guide a high-performing cleaning team, fostering engagement and collaboration.
- Support your Line Manager with recruitment, rotas, performance reviews, training, payroll, and more.
- Lead regular team meetings to keep communication flowing and feedback fresh.
- Monitor subcontractors and ensure they meet our high standards
- Manage stock levels and ensure supplies are always ready.
- Build strong relationships with clients and attend meetings to represent our service with pride.
- Collate data for monthly KPI/SLA reports and contribute to audits and inspections.
- Able to work with minimal management and be self-motivated.
- IT literate.
- Good communication skills (written and spoken English) to ensure safety of staff
- Positive approach to leadership
- Flexibility to meet service requirements
- Cleaning Industry experience at supervisory or above
- People /Team supervision experience
- IOSH Working Safely (desired)
- Any recognised industry training/qualification (advantageous)
