Eden Scott Client is seeking individual to work on a day rate contract based in Edinburgh this role is for 9-12 months and will be required to be in the office

Our client is looking for an experienced compliance professional with a strong understanding of trading operations and market conduct regulations. This is exciting opportunity for a
EMEA Trade Surveillance Lead(VP)
to join a global financial Services institution and play a key role in shaping and delivering a world-class surveillance program.

The successful individual will work closely with the Global Head of Trade Surveillance and EMEA leadership to ensure the integrity of trading activities across multiple jurisdictions. This is a high-impact role where you'll collaborate with portfolio management and trading teams globally, providing guidance on escalations and helping to maintain a consistent surveillance framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive EMEA-focused surveillance projects in partnership with global leadership.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with Portfolio Management and Trading business leads worldwide.
  • Provide expert guidance on escalation items and maintain globally consistent surveillance procedures.
  • Develop new surveillance testing and enhance existing reports, working closely with Technology teams.
  • Support the creation of management information reporting and data analytics for senior stakeholders.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in trade or transaction surveillance within a financial services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of portfolio management and trading operations.
  • Familiarity with market conduct regulations such as MAR and MiFID II.
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with data management and analytics is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
