Job Overview:

Here a Westlands Care Home we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Activity and Wellbeing coordinator to join our friendly team where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. We are a 24 bedroom care home providing care and engaging activities for our residents.

As part of the team you will be responsible for working in partnership with our current Activities coordinator planning and implementing a variety of stimulating programs to promote socialization, physical activity, and mental well-being

Your Responsibilities:

- Develop and coordinate a diverse calendar of activities tailored to the interests and abilities of our residents, including but not limited to arts and crafts, music therapy, , outings, and social events.

- Work in collaboration with the care team to ensure activities are inclusive and beneficial for residents requiring specialized care such as dementia care.

- Create a warm and welcoming environment to help promote friendships , belonging and social inclusion among residents.

- Manage supplies, and ensure equipment is well-maintained.

- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members to promote engagement and gather input on activity preferences.

- Implement new and exciting ideas to enhance our resident experience. The opportunities are endless in terms of what activities you could introduce and we would be interested to hear your ideas.

This role :

Salary dependant on experience

Approx hours per week over three - four days (3-4 days @ 2 hours per day)

Morning or afternoon shifts in accordance to planned activities/outings

Weekend working is included
