About the Crown Prosecution Service

About the role

As a crown advocate level 3, you conduct jury trials and hearings in serious and complex cases. You review and present evidence in prosecutions ranging from motoring to murder, using your advocacy skills to secure the right outcome in every case. You're primarily based in the Crown Court, but may also advise in the magistrates' and youth court, Court of Appeal and straightforward confiscation hearings relating to proceeds of crime.

We are also recruiting crown advocates level 2 and senior crown advocates.

About you

We're looking for qualified barristers and solicitors with a valid practising certificate for England and Wales. You must have completed a Legal Practice Course or Bar Vocational Course, and have the relevant pupillage or period of recognised training. Recent experience of criminal advocacy in the crown court is essential.
