Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to showcase their skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining food safety standards, leading by example, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
  • Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
  • Develop new menu items in collaboration with management and stay current with culinary trends
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operated safely
  • Assist in organising kitchen schedules and delegate tasks effectively

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Supervising experience is highly desirable
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques
  • Excellent team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Good understanding of hospitality operations, including serving procedures
  • Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential for highly skilled candidates
  • A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
