About The Role
This internship will teach you to build supplier relationships and create new product lines. You'll rotate through fresh and packaged food teams, gaining skills in negotiation and supplier management. Our roles are varied, it may not be just food you work on.

You will be responsible for

  • Work as a Buyer across our business, for example sourcing new seasonal products
  • Create range plans for stores to ensure the right products are in the right places - making it easy for customers to find what they're looking for
  • Work in our procurement team, ensuring we work with the right suppliers across Tesco.

You will need

  • An interest in food, trends, or how decisions are made in retail can be helpful
  • Working with data or insights can be part of the role — but you don't need experience with tools like Tableau and Circana

Working at our Welwyn Garden City campus

Our leafy, green campus is just 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Welwyn Garden City with its many shops, restaurants, pubs and sports facilities. Close to the A1, and with frequent trains running to Finsbury Park in just 20 minutes (free shuttle buses take you between the station and office), the campus is well connected to the surrounding area.

On campus, you'll find subsidised restaurants and coffee shops, as well as a Tesco Express to pick up your lunch or last-minute essentials. You can join the on-site Nuffield Health gym, which has state-of-the-art fitness equipment, two studios for group classes, plus treatment rooms (membership costs £23.50 per month).
