The Opportunity
Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Banqueting Chef de Partie to join our
Park Hyatt London River Thames
team. As Banqueting Chef de Partie, you will take ownership of a designated section within the banqueting kitchen, supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences for a wide range of events and functions.

  • Section Leadership: Manage and oversee a specific section of the banqueting kitchen, ensuring readiness, organisation, and excellence during service.
  • Menu Execution & Quality Control: Prepare and present banquet dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency in flavour, presentation, and timing across a variety of event formats—from intimate gatherings to large-scale conferences.
  • Inventory & Cost Management: Monitor stock levels for your section, assist with ordering, and ensure proper storage and rotation to minimise waste and maintain freshness.
  • Training & Development: Support and mentor Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Uphold rigorous food safety and hygiene standards in line with HACCP and local regulations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Operational Efficiency: Maintain equipment and workstations in your section, ensuring smooth service and adherence to kitchen protocols.
  • Collaboration with Senior Team: Work closely with the Banqueting Sous Chef and Head Chef on menu execution, event planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef in a banqueting or high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and HACCP compliance
  • Ability to manage a section independently and support junior team members
  • Committed to delivering consistent quality, presentation, and timing in a fast-paced event setting

Experience Preferred

  • Formal culinary training or diploma
  • Experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining banqueting environment
  • Proven work experience or exposure to London-based hotels, with knowledge of UK hospitality standards, local compliance (e.g., Food Hygiene Rating Scheme), and service expectations for international guests
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
