Job Summary: Security Officer FRIDAY / SATURDAY & SUNDAY NIGHTS

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position involves monitoring activities, preventing loss, and responding to incidents effectively. The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all individuals on site while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Shifts are FRIDAY / SATURDAY & SUNDAY NIGHTS SHIFTS 16:00-06:00

Duties

  • Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the property, including entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement when required and assist in investigations as needed with assistance of the Duty Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all security protocols and procedures.
  • logging vehicular movements correctly using the correct signing in procedure.

Skills

  • Proficiency in loss prevention techniques to safeguard assets effectively.
  • Experience with surveillance systems and CCTV operation for monitoring activities.
  • Strong knowledge of first aid practices to provide immediate assistance in emergencies.
  • Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused at all times.
  • Strong communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and collaborating with team members.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while making sound decisions during critical situations.

Expected hours: 42hours per week (overtime available at neighbouring sites)
