A fabulous Primary School in the BS34 area of Bristol is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a pupil in their Reception Class. 

This highly regarded Primary School is supportive to pupils, parents and their staff. The staff at this school are passionate about drawing the best in all pupils, personally and academically. 

You will be joining a dedicated and skilled team who are caring and support one another to provide an energetic and caring environment for their students. 

The Role 

As a successful candidate, you will be joining a 2 form entry Primary School from September, working closely with the EYFS team to support a pupil with SEMH needs on a 1 to 1 basis. 

As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to provide additional support through scaffolding to maintain focus and interest in their learning environment. 

You will be expected to: 

  • Have high expectations of the pupil you will be working with. 
  • Previous experience working with SEND children. 
  • Be a team player - able to communicate clearly. 
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher to resource creative activities to meet the need of the pupil. 
  • Liaise with the SENCo for additional activities. 
  • Be a resourceful candidate, who can adapt lessons to meet the needs of individuals.
