Who we are

Oak Landscapes Ltd are an expanding hard landscaping company within the Bromley/ Orpington Area. With 10 years of experience in the landscaping profession, we pride ourselves on a customer relation like no other, talking through a job with the customer from the start process of the quotation to the very last day on site. Making sure the customers have the garden/ driveway that they have dreamed of.

Must haves

· Clean Driving License

· Professional Attitude on site always.

· Be able to meet me on site every day on time. Or be picked up if we are working in your area

What you'll do day to day

Day to day the job of a trainee landscaper can change within an instate, your day-to-day job activity will be as follows:

· Helping with unloading and loading tools into the van/ work site.

· Cleaning tools and learning how to use power tools with skill and precision.

· Keeping the Site clean and tidy.

· Helping with demolition of the various sites we work on to create beautiful spaces for customers to enjoy

· Bringing in key material to help the job move forward, also helping to install various material to bring a new aspect to the different customers gardens to help provide them with a new, beautiful space within their property.

· Learning key skills off myself and being able to have the confidence to ask to do some hard landscaping to build your confidence and learn.

· Carry jobs on when material needs to be picked up or if rubbish needs to be cleared

· Most importantly have a customer relation that we pride ourselves on and talk the customers through with me what the next steps are within the job.

· Regular discussions will be had so that you can ask any questions you have on your mind/ a 6 monthly wage discussion will be had to discuss your monthly pay as a reward for your hard work and being part of the team. This is dependent on whether we see an improvement in you.

Future Goals

· Training Course/ Events will be provided for new landscaping methods such as:

o Resin Bond Training Courses

o New Material Training Courses

o Merchant Events sometimes after work (Usually involves free food)

o FutureScape yearly events

· Being able to transfer the skills I have taught you onto running your own jobs/ teaching the next employees how we run a successful site/ business

· Weekend work/additional hours is available as overtime

Probation/ Wage & Holiday Allowance

· 2-month probation period being a 4-day week – Monday to Thursday 8/8:30am to 4/4:30pm with a half an hour lunch break. Once the 3-month probation period is finished you will be then working a 5-day week Monday to Friday 8/8:30am to 4/4:30pm with a half an hour lunch break. Tea Breaks throughout the day too.

· £13 per hour raising to £15 per hour after 3-month probation period (If successful), with meetings every 6 months to discuss your wage depending on improvements.

· 32 hours per week going up to 40 hours per week once the 2- probation period has ended.

· Holiday allowances are as follows, 28 days including bank holidays. (8 days bank holidays, Christmas Break Bank Holidays included in 8 days bank holidays).

· Christmas break holiday to be determined closer to each Christmas. Allowing for 1 and a half weeks or 2-week holiday depending on dates of Christmas break.
