Job description About the Role

TransPerfect's Web & Digital Infrastructure team is seeking a DevOps Engineer to play a key role in modernizing and maintaining our global portfolio of web properties. We are in the midst of a strategic shift toward a more scalable and unified architecture—including GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines, containerized local environments, and modernized hosting infrastructure.

This is a hands-on role ideal for an engineer who thrives in high-impact environments and enjoys improving systems that serve global teams. You'll work closely with developers, security, and IT to build secure, automated, and scalable solutions for the next generation of TransPerfect's digital experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (or equivalent tools) for a large portfolio of websites

  • Build and maintain Docker-based local development environments

  • Manage staging and production servers, optimizing for stability, scalability, and security

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to improve observability

  • Collaborate with security and IT teams to ensure infrastructure compliance and best practices

  • Automate infrastructure tasks and improve development workflows

  • Lead the migration from legacy FTP/manual deployment processes to Git-based CI/CD workflows

  • Support cross-functional developer teams with tools, documentation, and process improvements

Job requirements

Required skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar engineering role

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions preferred, Jenkins or similar acceptable)

  • Proficiency with Docker and Linux server management (Apache/Nginx/LiteSpeed)

  • Experience with cloud and hosting platforms (AWS, Azure, cPanel/WHM, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, SSL, DNS, and security best practices

  • Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages

  • Expertise with Git and collaborative development workflows

Desired skills and experience:

  • Familiarity with headless CMS deployments (e.g., Contentful, DatoCMS)

  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)

  • Knowledge of performance optimization at scale (e.g., caching, CDN, load balancing)

  • Background managing high-volume portfolios of websites and coordinating cross-team deployments
