Description
Among Checkit's core products are smart sensors that monitor things like temperature, water flow or air quality, and send alerts to our central hub if readings fall outside expected boundaries. This helps our customers to ensure that critical systems are working as expected, and to know quickly if something is wrong so they can fix it before it becomes a problem. We help the NHS keep things like blood products and vaccines at the correct temperature by monitoring their storage fridges, and we help food retailers to reduce waste by monitoring refrigerated display cabinets in their stores. These sensors are calibrated and maintained by our team of Field Service Engineers and Specialists, who visit customer sites to install the equipment and make sure they are in full working order.

To ensure that all of this work is properly planned and executed, we have a small Projects team who project manage volume installs for our larger customers, and pilot programmes for prospective clients. Due to a high volume of current work, we are looking for someone to join our Projects team on a temporary basis to help deliver some of this workload.

We are looking for someone with some experience of working in a Project Management Office (PMO) as a Junior PM, Coordinator or Administrator. We don't need masses of experience, just an understanding of how it works, and a desire to get involved. It's a great opportunity for someone looking to gain some experience to help transition from project support into project management.

The role is initially offered on a three month fixed-term employed contract. It is a remote role and candidates can be based anywhere in the UK, though somewhere around West London, Surrey, Berkshire or Hampshire would be ideal. Full right to work in the UK is vital as we cannot offer sponsorship. We need someone who can start quickly - ideally before the end of November. Salary will be £25-30k pro-rata, plus pension and benefits.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the delivery of customer projects from planning to go-live, coordinating both software and hardware installations.
• Maintaining project plans, trackers, and reports, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget.
• Liaising with customers and internal teams, ensuring regular updates and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Capturing, monitoring, and mitigating project risks, escalating where necessary.
• Recording and tracking project activities in Salesforce to ensure visibility for all stakeholders.
• Identifying opportunities for improving project processes and delivery efficiency.

What we're looking for

• Experience at a junior level in project management, administration or coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple small projects simultaneously.
• Some understanding of project risks and budgets.
• Experience of working remotely and coordinating with remote teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Problem-solving mindset, with confidence to challenge and influence when required.
• Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
