We are seeking a reliable and professional Concrete Mixer Driver (either Volumetric or Drum) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe delivery and on-site pouring of ready-mix or volumetric concrete to residential, commercial, and industrial sites. This role involves driving a heavy goods vehicle (HGV), operating the mixer, ensuring accurate delivery quantities, and maintaining the vehicle to high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a Volumetric Mixer or Drum Mixer concrete truck in compliance with UK traffic laws and company policies.
  • Deliver concrete to various customer sites in a timely and professional manner.
  • Mix and batch concrete accurately on-site (Volumetric Drivers only).
  • Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness, both inside and out.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service on-site and liaise with site managers or supervisors.
  • Complete necessary delivery paperwork and electronic job logs.
  • Ensure Health & Safety and environmental guidelines are followed at all times.
  • Report delays, issues, or customer concerns to the transport or operations team.

Skills & Experience:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence (essential).
  • Valid CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph Card (essential).
  • Previous experience as a concrete mixer driver, tipper, or HGV driver preferred.
  • Experience operating volumetric concrete mixers (desirable for volumetric roles).
  • Good understanding of concrete types and slump requirements (training may be provided).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting mixer issues (advantageous).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £120.00-£160.00 per day
