Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service. This role will involve supervising front-of-house operations, collaborating with kitchen staff, cellar management,and maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
  • Supervise and train staff in hospitality best practices, including bartending and food service.
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely and quality food preparation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Assist in resolving guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Help manage inventory levels for bar and kitchen supplies, placing orders as necessary.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective leadership and communication.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or culinary industry is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and a genuine interest in food is essential.
  • Experience in cooking or kitchen operations is advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a close knit team effectively.
  • A background in bartending is essential.
  • Working knowledge of cellar management including changing barrels and gas would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • A genuine passion for helping others and providing outstanding customer service is a must.

You'll work closely with the owners who are actively involved on a daily basis and have owned the pub for over 13 years.
