Overview

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for maintaining and repairing vehicles. This role requires the ability to work with various hand and power tools, as well as the capability to lift heavy equipment. As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and performance of our fleet, while also providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as required.
  • Conduct equipment repairs, including welding when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the workshop environment.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in customer service is an advantage.
