Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Site Supervisor to successfully oversee the efficient running of the Nevada Lane Depot activities which include a mobile plant and static plant (Automatic baler & Shredder). Responsible for the Health and Safety of up to 5 operatives and the site, as well as quality control for material, you will be the main contact for the noon-shift drivers.

Key responsibilities and duties

  • To ensure that the level of housekeeping is maintained to the highest standard
  • Control stock of all recyclable material to ensure that there is no build up. including booking TP & Internal haulage
  • Ensure that there is no contamination of recyclable material before it is loaded
  • Ensure that any non-compliant wastes are identified, recorded, and processed in line with company policy
  • Ensure that all staff adhere to the correct safety protocols
  • Be adaptable within the team – covering absence and different roles if required
  • Lead the team alongside the Site Manager and Day Supervisor with a positive and safety minded culture
  • Being an enthusiastic and approachable mentor for all team members
  • Identifying training needs and challenges within the team and reporting to the site manager
  • Be efficient in the reporting of any accidents/incidents or near misses

Key Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar role and environment is essential
  • Must be able to drive a FLT and Telehandler (with attachments)
  • Competent in providing a professional approach at all times when interacting with all members of staff
  • Appreciation of confidentiality and discretion
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • The ability to communicate clearly and confidently with a range of people, driving forward the company values
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills are essential

Working Hours - Monday - Friday 14:00 - 00:00
