Are you someone who has a passion for supporting children with SEND? 

I am working closely with a wonderful Primary School in the BS22 area of Weston-Super-Mare who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support children with ASD needs. 

This school is a wonderful place for children who need additional support within a Mainstream school as they provide incredible support with an inclusive environment and curriculum, allowing all children to access and develop their learning at their own pace. 

Role Overview:

This is a great opportunity for someone with prior experience working with SEND. Whether it be in a school environment or elsewhere, we would be interested to speak with you. 

This is a full-time opportunity, where the Head Teacher is looking for someone with a calm and nurturing presence, someone who has a great understanding of adapting activities to meet children's needs. 

You will need the ability to: 

  • Communicate clearly with the SENCO and other members of staff. 
  • Use your initiative to support children with varied abilities and needs. 
  • Be able to provide a safe and calming environment.
