The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Construction / Horticulture Tutor to join our growing team. You will deliver hands-on, practical sessions in both workshop and outdoor learning settings, helping students to gain technical, employability, and life skills that support positive futures.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging sessions in construction and horticulture.
• Inspire students through creative and practical teaching approaches.
• Promote safety, respect, and teamwork in all learning spaces.
• Assess learner progress and support individual development plans towards accredited courses.
• Contribute to student reviews, behaviour support, and progression pathways.
• Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals to support student success.
Essential Requirements
- Proven background in construction, horticulture, or related trades.
• Experience supporting young people with SEND or SEMH needs.
• Strong communication, organisational, and behaviourmanagement skills.
• A passion for vocational learning and making a difference.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable
- Teaching qualification (AET or equivalent) or willingness to gain one.
• Experience in alternative provision or SEN settings.
