Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a strong understanding of delivery processes. This role is essential for ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods, while maintaining high standards of service.

Duties

  • Operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to transport goods safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products to designated locations while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur during transit.
  • Communicate effectively with the depot staff to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Assist in loading and unloading goods at the depot or delivery site.
  • Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
  • During down time you may be required to take part in yard duties.

Qualifications

  • Valid HGV and Hiab licence with a clean driving record.
  • An up to date CPC .
  • At least 2 years HGV and Hiab experience is required.
  • You must be over the age of 25 for insurance purposes.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
  • Knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Prior warehouse experience is an asset, enhancing the ability to manage logistics effectively. If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for driving and delivering exceptional service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
