CNC Machining Programmer / Setter

About the Company:

Chasestead LTD is a Letchworth based company specializing in Prototypes & Low Volume Production Sheet Metal Pressings, Stampings and Fabrication to the Highest Quality, working in many different sectors. Customers include Ford motors, Lockheed Martin, Warner brothers and McLaren.

ROLE:

· Working with the team to program Doosan Machining centres

· Responsible for setting up the machines, performing first off checks to confirm quality.

· The majority of the jobs produced are one off press tools for our in-house stamping team

· Run the Cutter paths to get the optimal times and cuts using the high end tooling purchased.

· Liaise with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure on time delivery.

Requirements:

· Knowledge of milling is essential

· The role requires manual lifting so applicants should be fit and able.

· Actively seek opportunities for Continuous Improvement.

· Knowledge of a cad package would be an advantage.

· Knowledge of Delcam or Space claim software would be an advantage, (training will be given to the right applicant)

· The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
