General Manager — The Ashbourne Hotel, North Killingholme
Do you love making hotels run seamlessly and turning great service into memorable experiences? The Ashbourne — a welcoming hotel in North Killingholme — is seeking a hands-on, energetic GM to lead our team, oversee daily operations, and shape the next chapter of our guest and events offering.
Why it's exciting
You'll be at the centre of a busy, varied hotel — balancing guest-first service with commercial focus. Working closely with our Group Accommodations Manager, Sales Director and Executive Head Chef, you'll help deliver weddings, conferences, local stays and standout dining experiences.
What you'll do
- Lead daily operations across Reception, Housekeeping, Maintenance, F&B and Events — setting service standards and driving consistency.
- Plan and deliver weddings, conferences and functions, ensuring smooth, profitable events.
- Recruit, train and motivate your team to deliver stress-free, memorable guest experiences.
- Manage compliance and safety standards with a practical, proactive approach.
- Be a visible, hands-on leader — solving problems, supporting teams and modelling great service.
- Work with Sales & Marketing on promotions and packages that grow occupancy and local reputation.
About you
- 3–5+ years' hospitality operations or management experience.
- A confident people leader — organised, calm and commercially aware.
- Skilled at communication and comfortable under pressure.
- Flexible with working hours (evenings and weekends).
- Event management experience and familiarity with PMS systems a plus.
