LMS is a popular and successful local authority maintained school, with approximately 600 pupils, aged 9 to 13. We are situated in the middle of Leighton Buzzard town centre, enabling us to feel at the heart of the local community. Leighton Buzzard is an expanding market town set in easy commuter reach of London and Milton Keynes.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Teacher of Mathematics at Leighton Middle School, in a department that aims to inspired and motivate a love of learning Mathematics. Success is driven through collaboration, CPD and a shared desire to increase the life chances of each and every student in our care.

The Teacher of Mathematics will be responsible for planning lessons, delivering mathematics instruction to students, developing and implementing the mathematics curriculum, and assessing student progress. The role involves creating engaging teaching materials, managing classroom behaviour, and fostering a positive learning environment. Additionally, the teacher will collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student learning and participate in extracurricular activities and school events as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development
• Qualified Teacher status and relevant teaching certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage and engage a classroom effectively
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
