This is a strategic role where you'll take ownership of the group's tax compliance and advisory activities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and proactive planning across multiple tax streams.

You'll be the go-to expert for all tax matters, partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions that shape the business. If you thrive in a role that combines technical depth with commercial impact, this could be the perfect next step.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead on all aspects of tax compliance and reporting for the group, including corporate tax, VAT, employment taxes, and customs.
  • Deliver accurate tax submissions and disclosures for statutory accounts.
  • Act as the primary liaison with HMRC, managing queries and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Provide tax insight for budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.
  • Identify and implement tax planning opportunities to optimise the group's position.
  • Keep the business informed on legislative changes and their implications.
  • Support projects and transactions with clear, commercially focused tax advice.
  • Oversee tax risk management for investments and M&A activity.

About You:

  • Professionally qualified (ACA/CTA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Strong background in corporate tax, ideally gained in a large organisation or professional practice.
  • Excellent technical knowledge across UK tax regimes.
  • Confident in managing HMRC interactions and resolving complex queries.
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to influence and advise at all levels.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to balance multiple priorities.
