French-Speaking Governess/Tutor

A wonderful family based in Central London is seeking an experienced and engaging French-speaking Governess/Tutor to support the education and development of their three school-aged children. The ideal candidate will be a French speaker with a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a nurturing, professional approach.

The role focuses on creating a structured yet warm environment that promotes the children's intellectual curiosity, independence, and confidence, both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

Provide daily support with homework, academic enrichment, and study routines (primarily in French, with cross-curricular guidance in other subjects as needed).

Foster the children's French language skills through conversation, reading, creative writing, and educational play.

Encourage good manners, confidence, and independence in alignment with family values.

Coordinate with parents and schools to ensure continuity in academic and personal development.

Organise and supervise educational and cultural outings, extracurricular activities, and occasional travel if required.

Maintain a calm, positive, and professional presence within the household.

Schedule

Live-out position based in Central London.

50–60 hours per week, Monday to Friday (with occasional flexibility).

Candidate Requirements

Professional French speaker (essential).

Previous experience as a Governess/Tutor with school-age children (ideally within HNW or international families).

Strong academic background and understanding of both French and British education systems.

Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Warm, confident, and adaptable personality with a genuine passion for working with children.

Children ages: 10, 11 and 13 years old
