Are you passionate about supporting families of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you have professional experience in education? Join our team and help empower families to navigate the SEND system to achieve the best outcomes for their children.

About the Role

As a 
Family SEND Support Advocate
, you will:

  • Provide online support to families preparing for EHCP and SEN meetings, understanding legal rights and responsibilities, and planning next steps.
  • Attend meetings with families and professionals (e.g. TAF, CAF) to advocate for the best outcomes.
  • Collaborate with our team through weekly planning sessions and termly virtual meetings.

Full training provided.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • 5+ years' professional experience or legal/tribunal background
  • Strong understanding of SEND legal duties (or willingness to train)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Availability during school hours (min. 2 days/week) and one evening/week
  • Commitment to inclusivity and safeguarding
  • Willingness to undertake DBS check

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualifications
  • Personal experience with SEND
  • Experience chairing professional meetings
  • Knowledge of school SEND policies and limitations
