Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we're enabling the energy essential to support our lives.

We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.

This role will be within our
Metering team
, you'll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, we provide efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity and water meters.

Our meter readers install, maintain and manage meters to make sure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored.

What will you be doing?
We are looking for a
Validation Analyst
to join our Operations Centre team. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our pricing structures, customer invoicing, and financial security across our Energy and Water client base.

This is a
hybrid role
, combining remote working with some time at our Newcastle office based in
Cobalt Business Park
.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, maintaining and validating pricing tables, rate cards and scorecard updates
  • Generating, reviewing and validating customer invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Producing timely and accurate client performance reports and ad-hoc data sets
  • Resolving discrepancies and liaising with internal teams and clients on billing issues
  • Supporting audits with relevant documentation and analysis
  • Driving continuous improvement to enhance accuracy and efficiency in reporting and invoicing

What You'll Bring

  • A strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in everything you do
  • Clear and effective communication skills to engage with internal teams and clients
  • Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to resolving issues
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure
  • A collaborative attitude - you enjoy working as part of a team and sharing best practices
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and finding smarter ways of working
  • Previous experience in data handling

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Power BI for data visualisation
  • SQL skills for data extraction and analysis
  • Understanding of pricing structures and invoicing processes
  • Academic history of data science / data analysis
