The Mortgage Broker Role

As a Mortgage Broker, you'll work with HNW residential clients and commercial investors/developers, advising on complex mortgage solutions, property finance structures, and bespoke lending requirements. You'll benefit from leads provided by the company (40%) to supplement your own network leads (60%) while receiving full administrative and compliance support to free up your time to focus on income generation.

Mortgage Broker Key Responsibilities

  • Advise HNW individuals, property investors, and commercial clients on bespoke mortgage solutions
  • Structure and package complex cases for successful lender approvals
  • Build and nurture client relationships and a personal referral network
  • Maintain strong relationships with private banks, specialist lenders, and mainstream lenders
  • Collaborate with the admin team to ensure smooth case processing and client satisfaction
  • Keep up-to-date with market trends, lender criteria, and regulatory changes

Mortgage Broker Skills & Experience Required

  • CeMAP (or equivalent) qualified with a strong regulatory understanding
  • Proven track record in mortgage broking – ideally HNW, residential, or commercial
  • Ability to generate business through networks or referrals desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative sales skills
  • Confident managing complex or high-value mortgage cases
  • Ambitious, self-driven, and comfortable in a self-employed setting
