Vehicle Inspector

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our business as a Vehicle Inspector at our Cold Meece Refurbishment site.
As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll play a key role in assessing the condition and quality of vehicles as they arrive and before they are released. You'll be responsible for carrying out thorough inspections, identifying damage, wear, or mechanical issues, and producing accurate condition reports to support the refurbishment and defleet process.
Working within a fast-paced, professional environment, you'll ensure vehicles meet our company and customer standards for safety, presentation, and performance.
Hours: 7.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid), i.e. 47.5 hours per week.
Salary: Dependent on experience(to be discussed at interview stage)
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed inspections of vehicles to assess cosmetic, structural, and mechanical condition.
- Record inspection findings accurately using digital systems and report any required repairs or refurbishments.
- Identify and classify vehicle damage in line with company and industry standards.
- Work closely with workshop, paint, and prep teams to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality outcomes.
- Support continuous improvement in inspection and quality assurance processes.
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Ideally, we are looking for:
- Proven experience in vehicle inspection, quality control, or a related automotive role.
- Strong understanding of vehicle components, bodywork, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Good IT and communication skills for recording and reporting inspection results.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
