We are seeking an experienced and organised Purchasing Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that our supply chain operates efficiently. This exciting new role will be essential in delivering high standards in sourcing, purchasing and inventory management for our fast growing business. You will contribute to supply chain and business efficiency and aid the business deliver continuing revenue growth, cost control and service level improvement. Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, reliability, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms.
- Monitor market trends and conduct analysis to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and align purchasing activities accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data within ERP systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding procurement processes.
- Address any issues related to supply chain disruptions or supplier performance promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role within supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, negotiation techniques, and logistics operations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP and Oracle EBS, is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
