The Team:

This position is a key role within S&P Global Ratings' Vendor & Affiliate Management Office (VMO), a part of the In-Business Control team. VMO is a global team with a mission to protect the Ratings Division from unwanted risks and to maximize value in the Division's use of vendors and affiliates.

The Impact:

The role is instrumental in delivering high-value management information to allow the Ratings Division to oversee its vendors and affiliates. You will demonstrate ownership of complex analytical projects while building strategic relationships across the organization.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to maintain an inventory of Ratings' vendors

  • Support a technology project to build a robust database of Ratings' vendors and related regulatory registers

  • Extract meaningful insights from vendor management metrics and datasets, transforming raw data into actionable business intelligence

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for senior management, including Ratings' Operating Committee and Boards of Directors

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define reporting requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity

  • Lead the design and build of automation solutions for a wide variety of risk and control processes within the In-Business Control team

  • Stay current with S&P Global's AI program and apply advanced analytical techniques, such as predictive modeling, to vendor management data

  • Demonstrate initiative in identifying process improvements and proactively troubleshooting complex analytical challenges

  • All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week

  • We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer

What We're Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • An S&P employee at this level would typically have 6+ Years in the financial services industry or similar professional work environment

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Proven experience in data analytics and reporting with demonstrated ability to manage complex analytical projects

  • Strong technical skills including data visualization platforms (such as Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI) and data manipulation and analysis using Python, Pandas, Excel, or Databricks.

  • Proven analytical expertise with strong ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience building strategic relationships across organizations

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Ratings' division and processes highly valued but not essential

  • Knowledge of vendor governance highly valued but not essential

  • Experience managing analytical complexity, including proactive problem-solving and solution development
