About the role

We're looking for an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Assistant Operations & Logistics Manager to support the smooth running of Hush's day-to-day operations. This role plays a key part in improving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the operational backbone of the business runs seamlessly as we continue to grow.

What you'll do

Operational Management

• Oversee inbound shipments (Air, Sea, Road) from suppliers to our UK 3PL.
• Monitor 3PL performance against budget and KPIs.
• Drive process improvements to boost efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead warehouse forecasting and workflow planning aligned with seasonal needs.
• Own weekly stock reports and ensure ERP (Business Central) data accuracy.
• Maintain supplier manuals and operational documentation.
• Chair monthly and quarterly operational review meetings.

Financial & Commercial Oversight

• Manage budgets across courier, freight, duty, consumables, and warehousing.
• Conduct cost analysis to identify savings and improve financial performance.
• Partner with Finance on landed costs, accruals, audits, and month-end reporting.
• Maintain accurate cost and stock data in ERP systems.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Line manage Operations Coordinators, ensuring timely PO processing and delivery.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tech, and Merchandising on cross-functional initiatives.
• Support new business ventures including concessions and partnerships.
• Liaise with consumable suppliers to enhance operational offerings.
• Provide team coverage during absences to maintain service continuity.

Systems & Continuous Improvement

• Act as Business Central SME, resolving system errors and ensuring data integrity.
• Support users in following best operational practices.
• Assist partner operations (e.g., John Lewis) with stock takes and process reviews.
