Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise & Lead: Oversee a team of security guards, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures. Provide leadership and motivation to ensure high performance.
  • Protect Treasures: Ensure the security and safety of assets, including artifacts, cultural and historical treasures, by monitoring and controlling access to the premises.
  • Incident Management: Record and report all incidents on-site, from security breaches to medical emergencies, maintaining detailed logs of occurrences and actions taken.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to visitors, addressing inquiries and ensuring a safe and positive experience.
  • Medical Assistance: Be prepared to provide or coordinate first aid and medical assistance as needed.
  • Roasters & Schedules: Manage staff roasters and change site schedules as required.
  • Events Management: Manage client events and guarding requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Mandatory: SIA Door Supervisor License (Required)
  • Experience: Minimum 1-year experience in a supervisory role within the security industry, preferably within museums, heritage sites, or similar high-security environments.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certification (preferred), NVQ2 Spectator Safety (advantageous), DBS clearance (less than 3 months).
  • Leadership: Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse team and effectively handle challenging situations and Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Operational Security Knowledge: Solid understanding of security management and incident response protocols.
  • Compliance: Ensure the security operations align with client requirements and local safety laws, as well as company standards.
  • Team Support: Work closely with the operations team to implement best practices and uphold high security standards across the site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £14.00-£14.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
