We're looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Branch Merchandiser to support stock allocation and management across our growing network of 780 stores. Reporting to the Senior Merchandiser, you'll play an integral role in analysing the right stock/right place strategy to maximise sales, profit and stock turn.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Excel skills and a passion for retail to grow their career in merchandising. It is based full-time in the office at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool (L24).

In This Role, Your Day To Day Will Include

  • Execute and monitor weekly stock allocations across the store estate.
  • Analyse sales and stock performance to inform replenishment decisions.
  • Manage promotional & seasonal activity through proactive planning/allocation & retrospective Event performance.
  • Liaise with Buying and Supply Chain teams to resolve stock-related issues.
  • Maintain and update allocation tools and trackers in Excel.
  • Identify stores with overstocking/underperformance and recommend corrective actions (both store & Grade level).
  • Forward planning & strategic decision making to maximise company/supplier targets.
  • Engaging Senior Management team with Seasonal stock build plans.
  • Assist in producing weekly reports and trade summaries.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

  • Previous experience in a retail or merchandising environment is essential with WSSI awareness. Junior Merchandiser level or above.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Confidence communicating with a collaborative, team-oriented approach whilst capable of working independently.
