Biodiversity Units UK Ltd helps property developers and their consultants to source Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Units. With deep experience in the property and environmental sector, and strong connections across habitat banks, we ensure developers can acquire the right units at competitive prices, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, provenance, and compliance.
As the market for BNG matures, we are scaling rapidly and building a founding team to take the business into its next phase of growth.
Role SummaryWe are looking for a Founding Team Account Manager to join our dynamic, high-growth business. This is a hands-on commercial role where your primary responsibility will be to drive sales, build strong client relationships, and close deals with developers, consultants, and partners.
A key part of this role will be building strategic relationships with larger, higher-value developers and organisations, helping position Biodiversity Units UK as the partner of choice. You'll take ownership of creating and executing a clear plan to drive forward these partnerships, ensuring we secure long-term, high-value relationships with our core developer base.
This role is ideal for someone who has thrived in high-growth sales environments, has a proven track record of success, and is now ready for a new challenge in a thriving and purpose-driven sector.
Key Responsibilities- Lead sales efforts with developers, consultants, and partners.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships across the property and development sector.
- Drive new business development and identify opportunities within BNG and the wider natural capital markets.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to target, win, and grow relationships with a core set of high-value developers and partner organisations.
- Actively drive partnerships and strategic accounts, ensuring we become the long-term partner of choice for major clients.
- Report on pipeline, sales performance, and forecasts to the Board.
- Work collaboratively with the Operations team to ensure smooth delivery of projects and client satisfaction.
- Contribute to shaping how we use technology, AI, and automation to scale our business.
What We're Looking For
- Proven track record of success in high-growth B2B sales organisations.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with experience handling strategic or enterprise-level clients.
- Commercially minded, able to understand developer needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: ambitious, energetic, and motivated by the opportunity to help build a market-leading business.
- Background in property, land, development, or related industries is beneficial but not essential.
- Comfortable with technology and curious about how AI and automation can improve sales and operations.
- A strong cultural fit: collaborative, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a small, fast-moving team.
