London, Greater London, United Kingdom Financial Conduct Authority Full time £24,000 per year

We offer you the chance to start your career and make a real difference.

Programme Length: 10 weeks (Monday 15 June – Thursday 20 August 2026)
Salary: £24,000 (pro rata)

About Us

At the FCA, we regulate financial services firms in the UK, to keep financial markets fair, thriving and effective. By joining us, you'll play a key part in protecting consumers, driving economic growth, and shaping the future of UK finance services. We're looking for graduates to join our diverse and highly capable teams across the FCA.

About the programme

The Data, Digital and Technology (DDAT) Summer Internship at the FCA is designed to immerse you in data-driven decision-making within our data, digital, technology, and innovation teams. Over 10 weeks, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting smarter regulation and building expertise in areas such as data science, open finance, artificial intelligence, and digital innovation.

If you have a degree background in data science and are interested in specialising further in this field, we strongly encourage you to apply for this scheme.

As an intern, you'll develop core skills in judgement, engagement, self-management, and delivery. Your placement could involve supporting vulnerable consumers, conducting investigations, developing policy and strategy, or supervising firms, giving you a broad view of the financial services sector and the FCA's impact.

Before you join, we'll match you with a team that aligns with your interests and supports your growth, ensuring you gain valuable skills and experience to launch your career in financial services.

Note: Successful interns will be offered a place on our graduate scheme in the same location. Please apply for the internship in the location where you would also want to work as a graduate.

Learning & development

Our 10-week programme is designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Inspired by the FCA's values of self-sufficiency, resilience, ambition, engagement, and integrity, you'll be supported in developing personal effectiveness, advancing professional capabilities, and making a meaningful impact.

You'll benefit from:

  • Bespoke induction and training
  • Networking opportunities
  • Lunch and learn sessions
  • Social events with your intern cohort
  • Opportunities to hear from senior speakers across the business
