We are seeking a Part Qualified Accountant to join our very friendly Creative Division, working in a modern office in the heart of London's Fitzrovia, moments away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Circus.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual wanting to develop their career in accounting, focusing on bookkeeping. We will offer you the chance to gain that all-important experience whilst providing full study support to cement and build upon your theoretical knowledge. You will also have the chance to learn what it takes to manage a portfolio for a variety of clients.

The Role

• Day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for a portfolio of clients
• Assisting with the maintenance and review of accounting records raising issues to relevant Managers
• Preparation of VAT returns for senior review and client approval
• Review of bookkeeping and VAT returns, provided by either the client or junior staff members
• Assisting with management reporting and annual accounting compliance by preparing accounts and reports
• Ensure good relationships with both internal and external clients
• Liaising directly with clients and suppliers in a timely and professional manner online, over the phone or in person
• Correspond with clients to resolve any queries or issues
• Problem solving - Highlight any work or project delivery issues to partners and key staff
• Work closely with other teams within the firm to assist in ensuring seamless delivery of work

• Strong ability to cope in a fast-paced environment, taking responsibility for own workload and working closely with manager and wider team / firm to deliver quality work to agreed, often tight, deadlines and timescales

Your Experience

• Currently studying AAT or ACCA with experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice is essential.
• Experience of working with entertainment clients is highly desired
• Excel, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks an advantage
• CaseWare experience would be beneficial
• You will have obtained a degree and/or A-Levels with a focus in Maths or Accounting and Finance
• GCSE grades C and above (preferably A*- B in Maths & English Language)

• Hours: 9.30am – 5.30pm
• Flexible working: 3 days (+) in office, 2 days at home
• Study: AAT or ACCA study support available
