The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and manufacture of Fractile's silicon products. This will include responsibility for New Product Introduction (NPI), Yield Engineering, and Product Quality.

Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree or above in Electronics, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Physics, Engineering or similar disciplines
  • Demonstrable experience within the semiconductor industry from working in a Product Engineering, Test Engineering or Quality Engineering role from NPI to high volume production stage
  • Solid experience in as many of the following areas as possible:
    • Wafer fab: Process Integration, Yield Enhancement, D0 Control and Defect Reduction strategy,
    • IC Assembly: Assembly Process or Package Design, 3D IC and wafer stacking experience, Assembly Quality Control, BOM optimization, Yield Engineering
    • Fabless Semiconductor: IC Product Qualification Plan, IC Reliability and Failure Study, RMA Handling
  • Knowledge of WAT, WS/CP and FT data analysis and correlation methods
  • Strong data mining and analytical skills combined with excellent ability for clear and concise data presentation and derived conclusions
  • Extensive use of semiconductor industry data analysis tools/software and ability to create scripts for standard analysis and journals, e.g. yieldHUB, Spotfire, JMP etc
  • Good knowledge of general semiconductor industry process quality control system and statistical analysis methodology: SPC charts review, Cp, Cpk improvement, etc.
  • Familiar with FMEA derived Semiconductor Qualification plans and related standards such as JEDEC
  • Experience of assessing and selecting non-destructive and destructive semiconductor failure analysis methods and techniques
  • Good communication skills and team player attitude
  • Self-starter, flexible and able to handle multiple projects in parallel
  • Willing and able to travel worldwide when needed

  • Project management of NPI and IC Qualification
  • Multi-culture awareness including a background in working with Far East suppliers
