Hours: Part-time – 24 hours per week , to include one day on a weekend Saturdays and/or Sundays (8:00am – 8:00pm) £13.60 per hour
Permanent contract available following a successful 3-month probation
Additional hours available for holiday and sickness cover.
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and physically fit female personal assistant/carer to support a bright and intelligent lady living with a spinal cord injury in Warrington, Cheshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of her rehabilitation journey, helping to improve her quality of life and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care and support with hygiene
- Assisting with shopping, cleaning, and household tasks
- Attending hydrotherapy sessions – you must be a confident swimmer
- Assisting with transfers and manual handling (full training provided)
- Driving the client's own vehicle to take her to appointments, hydrotherapy, and outings
- Promoting independence and emotional well-being
- Being a positive, encouraging presence day-to-day
What We're Looking For:
- Female applicants only (Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010)
- Aged 21 or over
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own car – essential
- Willing and able to drive the client's vehicle (training/guidance provided)
- Confident swimmer – required for hydrotherapy support
- Physically fit for regular moving and handling
- A caring attitude and a genuine interest in human anatomy and rehabilitation
- Willingness to assist with all aspects of daily living and personal care
- DBS check required – paid for by the employer
- Two references required
- Previous care experience is helpful but not essential – full training provided
- Enthusiastic, vibrant, and open to learning
