ACJ Search have partnered with a high growth technical organization based in Oxfordshire. As part of their ongoing development as a company, they are looking for a Business Development Director to drive growth with existing and new businesses.

This is the first dedicated sales role within the company and, as such, requires someone able to operate both at a strategic level as well as being very hands on and taking the lead in proactively driving new business development. It represents a fantastic opportunity to join a business in the early stages and make a significant contribution to the growth and direction of the company.

The company develops and manufactures pioneering advanced thermal management technologies including heat exchangers, heat sinks and battery packs.

We are keen to speak with people with the following skills and experience:

  • Very strong technical skills. The ideal candidate will likely be a qualified engineer who has moved into a commercial role. You will be engaging with a very technical customer base and will need to ensure credibility in this area.
  • Hands on sales and commercial skills. Joining a small organization, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging with potential clients. Initially this is a standalone role so the successful candidate will need to be comfortable in a hands on capacity.
  • Able to engage credibly at all levels with a highly technical customer base
  • Very strong stakeholder engagement skills. Able to work effectively with the internal engineering team around prototyping, product development and delivery.

The role is based in Oxfordshire. Hybrid working can be supported although you will need to be able to be in Oxfordshire on a regular basis.
